The Fox Education began with a discussion between two college instructors about the challenges people face in gaining knowledge and new skills required to compete for jobs if they are unable to commit the money and time to enrolling in a formal diploma program at a college. Accessing opportunities for learning customized to learners' needs can be difficult, and costly. In addition, as instructors, we identified certain knowledge and skills gaps which exist in the curriculum delivered in many formal college educational programs. Non-traditional learners, newcomers to Canada, international students and more often find it difficult to access and understand certain information which will assist them in their day-to-day, and professional lives.
The Fox Education was born from these conversations with a simple mission--to provide a non-traditional source of knowledge building opportunities to learners in Canada.
Our founders have significant industry experience and advanced degrees in the topics which they instruct. Learning through The Fox Education means the delivery of general and specific knowledge which, based on our experience in education, many learners need and want. This type of learning focuses on meeting learners where they are--different academic experiences, different learning and job experiences, and different social and economic starting points.
The Fox Education delivers tutoring services in English, Spanish, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil. All tutors have, at a minimum, a Bachelor degree from a university, as well as experience teaching and tutoring students at the college level. Different tutors have different academic training and real-world experience in at least one or more of the following fields: business, accounting, Canadian law, marketing, computer engineering, computer science, electronics, communications, mathematics, education, and adult education. Several of our tutors have graduate degrees, advanced diplomas, and certificates in their fields.
The Fox Education believes that individuals, their families, communities and society as a whole benefit from the availability of continuous knowledge development, but that the manners in which knowledge is delivered must evolve and recognize and address the hurdles which many people face in attempting to seek out learning opportunities.
We focus on traditional, non-traditional and accessible approaches to education.
The Fox Education can also offer specialized learning opportunities to individuals, as well as groups. It is not a college, or university and does not offer degrees, or diplomas. It is focussed on providing specific knowledge, within a relatively short time period, to help learners desiring non-traditional, but practical learning.
